Roll back the clock to the years of 1964-67.

You get to buy any NEW car you want, but only one.

Money is no object.

What would you bring back?

When new cost around $18,000 now only sold in private for 25 million and up.

That is a really tough question to answer.

I think I would want a 1965 Buick Riviera GS

But I would also want a Sunbeam Tiger and a 65 GT350

The have always loved the Olds 442

This is my 1965 289 Cobra replica. I would have loved to have had the real deal in the 1960's.

This car has given us so much fun, what it would have been like to own one in period I cant imagine.

1965 Daytona Coupe......Shelby in '66 couldn't give them away. They were just old race cars! I think they wanted like $5000 or $6000 for them! A lot of money in those days sure...but what a car!

I LOVE the one used in the James Caan 'flick "Red Line 7000" along with a '65 GT350 being dirt tracked!

2nd choice would be "1961 Ferrari 250 GT Califonia...less than 100 were made...It is his love, it is his passion...it is his fault he didn't lock the garage!"

I saw the movie Red Line 7000 in Stockholm, Sweden in 1965

and decided right there that one day I would get my dream car,

a 65 Mustang GT350. Was 17 at the time. 11 years later I started

looking and found one for sale in Sweden, 5S070 and the price was about $2000. However, it was sold when I called and I ended up

going to Los Angeles in 1977 to buy a 65. Found one for sale in

LA Times for $3500 but nobody answered when I called. Ended up buying

a 67 which I still have. After moving to Texas in 1987 I found my

65 in Tyler, TX in Feb.1988 5S275. Still have that one too.

Life is great.

Well.....the GT40 was and is my alltime favorite....Had a shot at a 250 GTO Ferrari a a gas station near the Whiskey ago go in Hollywood in like 1967 or 68...Nevada plates and definitely rough rough rough..bought my first '65 GT350 in '72 for $2000. also bought a Ferrari 250GTLusso for $4000....Ferrari stolen, GT350 sold for family needs...so now its my sweet hipo automatic hardtop that storms down the road...pictured in Mustang monthly NW National article, the Antique Bronze/black vinyl hard top in the que, I'm pictured in the Judges column, straw hat, white shirt...these are the best of times...for some of us anyway...<img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

1967 GT350 4-speed. Yes, a Cobra Daytona, roadster or GT40 would be great, but not very practical on the street.

My daily driver since 1979 has been a not so stock 69 VW Baja so be careful about the practical stuff. It has a bit of acceleration but is primarily a "mudder".
