Whoops, you're right. It's not a GT, simply a K code fastback. Sorry.

I know the owner of 5R09K125001. First one out of the San Jose plant. Supposed
to be the first car, let alone 'K', GT and fastback, out of the plant

Ok, thanks Fred!

Hi all, I'm currently using the clutch fork pictured on my 66 GT350. I believe it is a hipo version of the fork. The boot I
have is for more common type of fork, ie, the one with the 'dragon's tongue' looking end for the spring. It's basically
centered with the depression. What boot is used with the hipo type of fork?s-l1600 (1).jpg

A great sound, indeed. I'm surprised the driver isn't wearing fireproof gloves.

Ok, thanks Fred!

Hi all, would a hipo clutch fork, the one with the spring return hole lower than the centerline of the fork, have
a Ford engineering or part number on it?

I recently installed half of a TMI carpet set in my 66 fastback. The back fit fine but I just couldn't get the front to fit right. Even
if I managed to get it to fit, and glue it in, there were 'ribs' of sorts running lengthwise on the tunnel. It would have been very
noticable. The old front carpet went back in. TMI may be the only player out there, but I'm anxious to hear from others. -
Hello and many, many thanks to those involved with bringing a Hipo site online.
I was wondering if there will be a picture gallery of some sorts?

What's it like inside the car as cruising speed? Conversation and radio possible?

As a point of reference, I have a 4G28 C5 six bolt block, with an assembly date of 4H19.

Have you put a straight edge across the mating surface of the intake and the surface of the neck? One or both of the two may not be perfectly flat. Also, hopefully you're not using a chrome water neck. They always seem to leak.

Yes. I should also point out, which I should have earlier, that this is on a 331 cid with AFR 185 heads, among other things done. This engine needed air, which an aftermarket, 'correct' looking hipo air filter element, couldn't provide.
So, not quite an 'apples to apples' comparison but it worked for me. As stated, this particular K&N filter is only 1/8" taller than stock and works well in my application.

I picked up about 15hp (per dyno results) with an K&N A140E8, which is 14" x 2 1/8". I have about 3/4" hood clearance running an Air Gap manifold. My car is an early '66 with standard '65 mounts.
Hope this helps

I'm with McFly on this one. Beautiful car with 'positive' financials. I love hindsight!

Doesn't look like we'll need Troy Dunn , the locator, for this one!
