Here is a listing that I already posted in the parts section. At least these are "S: springs although the date code is 137 E5. These are really expensive as the auction is ONLY for the lower leaf:

    Thanks Fred!

Yes The seller reached out to me already before he listed them on eBay.

137E5 datecode is too late for my car. Day 137 is late May 65......my car is mid April.

May be a silly question to some, but are you driving the car or is this a real trailered concours car that will not be driven? If you're not driving it I would do the black overspray on the cars manifolds, and definitely lock tab washers. Also, your head gaskets should be triangled tabs, depends on who's judging, but you can get marked off for those square ones. And last thing your oil filter should be double humped, like the repro red Rotunda ones and then should be painted engine color black.

Looks fantastic though and good luck with the restoration, would love to see more pictures...

Thanks for the tips. Not sure much we can do on the head gaskets at this point, but good to know.

Definitely a concours trailered restoration.....$$$.....but the car will be driven sparingly. Not a 100% trailer queen. This is my high school car - so I definitely want to drive it again.....it has been 30 years!!!!

Guy doing the restoration is one of the MCA Head Judges, but focuses more on Shelbys than K Codes.....and the manifolds/locks would be one big difference from a Shelby to a regular K Code.

Oil filter change is planned once motor is back in the car.

Additional research also told me my AMK alternator purchased a number of years ago is incorrect......so more $$$ to get the right one from Dead Nuts On or figure out if the AMK can be restamped correctly.

We are down to all of the small details.

Hopefully Virginia Mustangs will get a correct Autolite battery run done before May!

Check out the SKRAP BOOK section for pictures of the car.

Guys - still looking for the lower spring pads.

I do need to update the date code range - based on some more research EATON used an EPOCH calendar date for 1964 and 1965.

With my car being a mid April 65 car - I'm looking for springs in the 20E5 to 90E5 date code range.

Car is progressing nicely and this is the very last correct part I need to make the car 100%.

If any of you will be at the NMCA show in Eureka Springs in May - stop by and check it out - will be in the Concours Trailered area.

    Dearborn April 65 k code 2+2

Engine is about ready to set back in my car. Concours Trailered restoration.

Locks or no locks on manifolds?

Restoration shop says NO......would like to confirm.

Haven’t been able to find a definitive answer online or in photos.

    Anyone have advice or confirmation?

I’ll need to confirm my original tranny dates, but mine is serial stamped on the bottom of the case for mid-April 65 built Fastback. Motor is also stamped in usual place above oil pan rail on pass. Side of block.

Looking for 2 matching lower k code rear leaf spring leafs with C4ZA-5556 S part number stamping and date code between 080 E5 and 140 E5.

Will buy full springs but only need the bottom leafs for my 65 K code 2+2 concours restoration.

Send me a message if you can help.

Back after a long time. Will be good to build up the site again.

Long term Kcode owner / fanatic.

Finally restoring my 65 K code 2+2 from high school!

I’ve been a K code owner for almost 40 years so hopefully my trivial knowledge can be helpful!

The stamps are very fresh...looks redone to me.

The 3939S pump is the button top, crimp together style.

ACMAN63 has a Cobra and early HiPo screw together type on eBay right now - 3732S

I have a similar Carter X pump - on my car in '79 when I got it - the origianl 3939S pump was long gone.
