  • Fred

Got my pumps back and I am impressed, they look beautiful.

    In reading what you had to go through to get this done, it has to be the classic example of Murphy's law;

    No good deed goes unpunished!

Thank you for a job well done.

    Bill

  • Fred; Recieved the two pumps I sent you today. Considering all that you went thr to get these done...the turnaround time was great. Thank you for all you efforts.

  • Fred: I received my fuel pumps today and I'm extremely happy with the end product. I have a NOS 1965 ink stamped fuel filter canister that I placed on the pump and units together looks great. Thanks for all of your hard work.

  • Thanks Fred the pumps came out perfect iam very happy i would be willing to send some extra cash for your effort a job well done later bob<img src=images/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

  • I have had a few requests from people who either missed out on this last run or who were unaware of it. I spoke with my rebuilder today and they are willing to do another shorter run if there is enough interest. For those who were in doubt that the first run would actually take place and be brought to completion, it really did happen!!

  • Fred,

I would be interested, but I have not yet located a 3939S or similar core.

I have an earlier screw type pump I plan to use - nicely restored myself.

If anyone has a core please let me know.

I know these are getting harder and harder to find.

My car will be a show/driver, so I'm not especially concerned about number or datecode - just the button top and canister.

My screw type pump was on the car when I got it in '79 - so I've never had an original button top. Good thing I had the sense to save it years ago when it started leaking! Even these cores are expensive now!

Thanks for working so hard on this!

This is exactly what makes this site and the people here so great.

We all work together and share information for the benefit of our cars and the hobby.

    Have a great holiday season!

  • Ralph, I just sent you a PM on this being as the email system is not currently working.

  • Hello Fred, I have an original pump that I would be very interested in getting restored / rebuilt. If you are going to do another group of pumps, count me in. Send me an e-mail ( rpclnash@cs.com ) or PM with the address to send the pump and payment to. Thank you! Respectfully, Rick

  • Don, Give me a call and we will work one out for you.

When am I going to get to drive your Arvinode equipped ragtop? Did you finish the installation yet?

  • I am needing a pump for a 65 hipo Fairlane. Does anyone know where I can get a core and is it too late to get in on the second run of rebuilds? That is assuming I can find a core.

    Thanks,

    Alan

  • Alan, You are still good to get in on the next run. I have just started getting the ones sent to me by other people for this run. You unfortunately are looking for the holy grail of pumps as it also fits 65 Hipo Mustangs and of course 65 Shelbys. The core, if you can find it, will be very expensive. You might consider a pump with only a single spring as they have the same outward appearance. I have sent you a PM on this.

  • Fred, I have a pump or two that I would like to get in on the second round of rebuilding if it is not too late. Could you please contact me about this? Thanks, Brian.
