Hey Zed,

I wasnt aware that VHT made a paint which is the correct engine paint. The ones I have seen are either too light or too dark. Go to a paint place who mixes the pressure pack and ask for Ford Corporate Blue in enamel.

The New Ford Blue may be right? Havent seen that one.

Hi Everyone,

I was speaking to an owner over here In Australia of a 64.5 k code. Car was ground up restored in 2002 to MCA concours specs. Havent seen it in person but the pics are georgous.

The Kar has a close ratio gearbox but not the correct type for a 64.5 K. The owner can get a correct box (HEH-S) but the cost shipped over here + price will be around $3200 aud.

He's wanting opinions - Being such a rare car + box, is it worth the $$$ for future resale?

"tarted up" could be kind words I think. Door jams, RH inner fender where the buck tag is looks like it has been poorly patched up. Someone has gone mad with the sliver paint in the engine bay! Including the fuel pump!

Yes !! No wonder the battery wasnt charging. Has been this way since the kar was restored. All good now.

Hi Tony,

I looked for a 67 K fastback for nearly 2 years. I wanted one with deluxe trim and with colour, preferably matching numbers or at least correct K code driveline.

Looked and waited, looked and waited. The one that I ended up with has standard trim, acapulco blue. So I settled on that. Keep looking something may pop up.

Currently have issues with the Alternator not charging. Have had the alternator checked by a sparky - all good, I changed the regulator (AMK version) just in case it was playing up (looked like it had moisture inside), but still not charging.

I read somewhere to make sure that those 2 white wires were on the right post as that could be the problem?

Any other ideas?

Hi Everyone,

I have 2 white wires on the back of my 67's alternator. 1 is attached to the FLD post, the other is attached to the post at the very bottom (on its own)

Question is - how can I tell that the correct white wire is attached to the correct post?

Hi Bo,

The pictures and footage are mindblowing. Over 1100 homes gone, 190 dead + another 80 still missing. It's hard to imagine a fire storm coming at you at 50-60 mph! Hope they find the culprits. Victoria had a week of 100+ degrees temps, then some D H lights a fire - mass murder.

The paxton prices I got from Craig Conley a few months ago. I was going from memory. The 3 X 2 are straight from pony themselves.

I can get an original Ford 3 X 2 setup that has been completely rebuilt for the price of the setup from pony.

If you were to do a period modification to your K, what'd be your preference when taking into consideration value for money, performance gains, ease of maintenance.

1. repo 3 X 2 setup from Pony Carbs - $1900

2. Correct style Paxton supercharger - $3200

If you're looking at total numbers produced rather than individual years, the BOSS 429 would be the rarest, followed by BOSS 302, then Shelby GT350. All are very different cars though. BOSS cars, Shelbys are individual models rather than engine code options. R codes and K codes are more comparable. Over 3 years there were approx 18,000 R codes against approx 13,000 K codes.

I think the best way to look at it is comparing K codes to other Mustang engine options of the particular year produced.

67 K codes are one of the rarest of all! - but I'm biased.
