Looking for a pair of early 1967 HiPo Thermactor heads. Latest I would consider would be May 1967 casting dates. Not interested in later or service Thermactor HiPo heads. Please e-mail me description of condition, date code(s), and price. Photos appreciated. Thank you. Rick rpclnash@cs.com

Saw the attached on Detroit Craigslist. It is not mine .... but I thought someone here might be interested. Nice looking / colors.
A question for the forum. Recently I purchased most of a disassembled K-Code engine; block, heads, crank, caps, rods, etc. The block is VIN stamped and I have been able to contact the owner of that particular Kar. I offered the entire group of parts. I believe the date codes to be close enough that the most significant components to be original to the engine. He wants the block only. What is a fair price for the block? Opinions appreciated. Engineer
Wanted to purchase a pair of 1966 Mustang horns. Very nice used preferred. Would like to know that they were removed from / original to a 1966 Mustang. Please e-mail me with condition and price. Thank you. Rick (aka: Engineer) rpclnash@cs.com
I believe the best reproduction hood is offered by Tony Branda. The highest quality (price) vacuum formed version. Again .... good luck. Rick
There was a post on Craigslist about a month ago in California that included an "original 1966 Shelby hood" that was in need of some repair. As I recall it had damage on the front driver's side corner and a line across the hood scoop. Price was very reasonable. The contact information was / is: "66 GT 350 SHELBY ORIGINAL PARTS - $100 AlTayl8@aol.com call 818-430-6521" Post included an offer for a driver's side door (fastback glass), rear seat, and some brass lettering that spelled out SHELBY COBR (missing A). It might be worth a call or e-mail. Good luck in your search. Rick
Tough to find .... Tango Classics has one from time to time. Take a look at: http://www.shelbymustang.com/ Good luck on your search!
I am looking for a rebuildable 1968 Ford / Mercury 302 V8. A 4 barrel (J-code) is preferred. A 2 barrel is acceptable as I already have the appropriate J-code heads and intake. The engine is to be used for the restoration of a 1968 Mustang GT 4 speed built in late November, 1967. I really want a date code correct block thus a July, August, early September, early November 1967 casting date would be appropriate / acceptable. The strange date request is due to the UAW strike in 1967 which shut Ford down from September through November 1967.
If you have a rebuildable 1968 302 Engine or Engine Block from a 1968 Ford or Mercury carrying the part (block) number C8OE-A and a 7Gxx, 7Hxx, 7Jxx, or early 7Lxx date code, I would be very interested in learning more.
Thanks, Rick ( rpclnash@cs.com )
What kind of difference do you see between the engine build date and the build date of your kar?
There is a pair of 1968-1969 Shelby Retractors on e-Bay for $3,995. Candidly, I believe this is over market price. I believe I have seen reproduction retractors for $1,250. I would have to speculate that a fair price would be some where in between ... perhaps $2,500 to $3,000. Sounds like you are including the Y-harnesses so start higher in this range. I hope this helps.
Found my seat belts. Thanks to all who responded. Rick
Want to purchase two sets of 1966 Standard Seat Belts for my 1966 Mustang Fastback. Ideally, I would like to have two sets of black Standard Seat Belts for the rear (fastback, convertible, or coupe) in great shape with 12-65, 1-66, 2-66 date code stampings. I have two sets of 1966 black belts that could be restored, but I would need another set of any color, front or back, 1966 standard belts that could donate the date code stampings and stiched on date tags. Please email with what you have and price. Pictures helpful. rpclnash@cs.com Thank you. Engineer (aka Rick)
I will be there. Probably will drive my lime gold (green) or sunlit gold 1968 Shelby. Rick
Found one. Thank you to all who helped in the search. Rick
Wanted: 9" center section and pinion carrier, Need date coded: 12/65, 1/66 or 2/66. Must be complete with caps, no ring or pinion needed. Please e-mail me direct at: rpclnash@cs.com
Question to the Forum. What is the meaning / definition of "date code correct" K-code block when it is included in a description of a Mustang for sale? The block has no serial number. I assume the reference is to the block casting date. How much difference between the unibody stamping / vehicle build date and engine block casting date is to be expected? Does the difference between vehicle build and casting block vary depending on which plant the Mustang was built? i.e.: Dearborn vs San Jose? Thank you for your thoughts and facts.
