If you bought this distributor plus the bare block that the seller has, you would be in $3,298 with only a block and distributor. By the time you were done you could easily tie up $10,000 in parts only.

That seller ALWAYS thinks his stuff is worth twice as much as everything else out there for sale.
I just sold a completely restored unit with a 4jc date for $450 on ebay and thought I did good.

Seriously doubt that anyone who cares about the value of a dollar will bid on that one...Those guys are famous for having the highest prices around, even though they know exactly what their stuff is really worth. The least they could do is post up some decent pictures that show the date code if they expect someone to pay that kind of money. It's most likely they hope a Shelby owner needs this one to finish a restoration. I've seen them offer similar distributors at Carlisle over the years at a fraction of the opening price...

FWIW, I believe that "aboss429ataol" = Perogie Enterprises. They have never been known for low prices, but, as far as I know, the products they sell are good.

I believe you are correct....

They certainly aren't cheap, but they don't sell junk either. And if you don't like it, return it. I guess that you have to pay for that.
-
Aboss and Mr.Enterprises are two different people but both go for ALL they can get like most I've SEEN!
-
Pretty strong for a hi-po dizzy. They normally can be bought for around $250-350 at pretty much any swap meet or even on ebay. I have an extra rebuilt one I'd love to get $800 for!
-
There doesn't appear to be anything particularly special about the distributor. Perhaps they're fishing for a desparate Shelby owner.

The box I just got from aboss said Perogie Enterprises on the return address...
-
Hmmm two different ebay accounts for the same business/person??? Good way to set up some Shill bidding, me thinks. I'm not accusing, only pointing out the possibility.
-
Have done business with Perogie for many years.
Quite expensive but parts are what they are advertised
to be and they (brothers) have always been honest to
me and my friends.

Well, I will have to say the slip yoke I bought from aboss (Randy) off of ebay is a total piece of junk. Besides being pitted (I doubt if it will ever seal up, will probably eat up seals) it is also cracked. So far I have had no luck getting a response from him. Anyone got a phone # for him?
-
Never mind, I found a phone number.... still can't get ahold of him though, all I get is an answering machine.

I've never dealt with the aboss guy, and maybe this is an honest mistake on their part, but the description for ebay item# 320177396845 is not true. These are not obsolete from Ford, I bought two from a local Ford dealer just last week for under $4 each.

C3DZ-3517-A $3.33 list. Ford has close to 1000 in stock, not obsolete, not on future obsolete list.
COBRA intake at $1325.00 w/ 2 days left on E-bay now.
For what it's worth, there is a guy selling Ford seat belt extensions on E-bay. He wants 20-25 each plus shipping. You can go to any Ford dealer and get them for FREE.

To follow up on my transaction with aboss...
Sent a replacement very quickly. Replacement was better than the original piece received but basically junk as well. Not sandblasted like the 1st and no cracks but still had dings and pits in the critical seal area. I'm returning for a refund this time.
They seem to be good to work with but I think the quality of their used parts is down to what is left after getting to the bottom of the pile.
If I don't post any further to this thread then I got my refund ok. I do take difference to the previous post that they don't sell junk though cuz what I got (both times) was definitely junk.
