Looks nice, but when they upgraded to the pony interior they forgot the lights for the doors. O well.
-
too hard maybe
-
For a car that has had a major restoration, those door sills look very rough.
-
I see a lot of small details that cause me concern.....especially the rust partially hidden by paint in the engine bay shot near the Monte Carlo bar mounting and the lack of HiPo balancer.
I would say the car was "cosmetically" restored to look good, but not a full tilt "remove everything" and fix it correctly restoration.
I would inspect the car very closely before putting down any money.

Rene,
I totally agree! I had to go look at my kar (which has not undergone a major rennovation) and the door sills and the body seam between the door posts looks much better on my kar.

And not a one shot of the underside

I knew I'd see this car beforehttp://http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/1257956751.html

"tarted up" could be kind words I think. Door jams, RH inner fender where the buck tag is looks like it has been poorly patched up. Someone has gone mad with the sliver paint in the engine bay! Including the fuel pump!
-
Not a hipo engine and door hinges need repair,no spring and pin.
-
Like I said earlier....lots of little details.....big concerns on the quality of the "restoration". Looks good...but it is the details that make the car worth the money.....this one isn't IMHO
-
The images of the door jambs may have been in the interest of full disclosure. The seller's narrarative doesn't point it out, but the photos speak volumes. There were clearly some problems there with the metal work.

Since I'm in Dallas I'm going to to try and see if I can go out and see it. Maybe I'll drive my car 65 so I can compare the 2.
If you have an requests for specific photos please let me know and I'll try to snap a shot..

- Official Post
The glove box door is a standard 66 unit with an added woodgrain insert in the center. The 4 way flasher switch is not in the glove box but rather under the dash above the accelerator pedal.

Along with everything mentioned so far I would not think it would be that big a deal for the seller to put a matched set of tires on the car. Three different brands counting the spare.

Have a feeling I saw this car yesterday at the Yellow Rose
car show in Fort Worth. Took some pictures and will look
through them today to see if this car made an enough impression to take a picture.
