I've been once. I need to get some suspension stuff completed then I'll be back out there in the fall.

The most complete list would be in the book that is offered from this site.

Great info guys.
I have to stop looking at this thread before I buy a Paxton!

Wonderful info: Here's photos from my Jan 65 K car: I'll post some more pics from both the passenger and driver sides to verify the rear frame rail holes. It looks as though this car was probably originally an Arvinode car.

Anyone see the blue 65 K code coupe that sold for 44k on last Fri of the Mecum auto action? It was on only a few seconds so I didn't get many details.

Since I'm in Dallas I'm going to to try and see if I can go out and see it. Maybe I'll drive my car 65 so I can compare the 2.
If you have an requests for specific photos please let me know and I'll try to snap a shot..

What front coil and rear leaf spring configuration are you running?
I recently put on koni shocks, a Global West 1" drop 640 coil and poly bushings. I've yet to replace the rear leaf because there's so many to choose from I'm lost. My car is a Jan 65 hipo from Dearborn.
Right now the front is sitting with a ride height of:
Front: 26 5/8
Rear: 25 1/2
Hopefully replacing the rear leaf will even out the dragg'n butt and high nose! Any suggestions. I'd like some close to the original ride set-up. Once the rear is done I might still end up replacing the front coil with a more factory option, because I'm getting a bit worried the car is still going to sit a bit high for a stock K car height.

Anyone in the Tx area have this exhaust yet? I'm in Dallas and want to put in on too, but would like to hear it first.

What makes you so sure that your Kar is not a factory GT? I believe that there have been a few documented that were built in February of 1965, I know that the magic April 17 date (one year after the first introduction of the Mustang in 1964) is when Ford officially introduced the "Pony" interior and the GT package but again there are many legitimate factory built GTs built before that.
I agree with the stripe color issue-to match it to the interior, however I went with a RED stripe on mine as my Kar is tripple Black and I don't think a Black stripe would have shown up very well.

According to the series of VIN #s right around my car it's actually a Jan car. The door plate is incorrect. Plus see the location of the exhaust brackets. They aren't in the correct location for a factory GT: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bramick…57604422139176/ And so does the steering box: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bramick…57604422139176/
Good thing is that it originally had the Arvinode exhaust, so that's on my to-do list.
Looks like changing the car to a black stripe is on the list too.

As I've already figured out my car isn't a true GT because it's a March 65 k car. I have a white GT stripe, but I'm noting a lot of red cars with a black stripe. Which is more correct?

Anyone know where you can get these or a good replacement that's close to original specs? Mine are wore out and I'm changing the shock as we speak.

Watching this show was great. I was hoping to see a some K Cars though...

I went with a 3G 1 wire from Powermasters

Yes, alternator.... which I just replaced. 3G one wire from Powermaster. The stock one will be hanging out in the box.
