1965 Fairlane K-Code

  • that's a great kar. i saw it last october when i attended the mca judges meeting there at skillman's place. dunno if it is worth the asking price but it is still an unusual model. i had a 65 fairlane back in the 80's. it was the same color & had belonged to my granny who bought it new.

  • Man that 65 K Fairlane is just awesome. Heck I've had (and still have) 2+2 K Mustangs for 40 years because I've never had a realistic chance at something like this when I was in the market.

But it's nice to know that my K Mustang has as it's heart a 'High Winding Fairlane V-8'!

This thing really has that FoMoCo 'Total Performance' look. Love that shifter. Bravo!

  • Car NOT worth that kind of money as it's rough.Seen that car for sale last year at auction and looked it over good.Alot of wrong pieces and underneath was like a barn find. He's lookin for a sucker and found one last year for about $25G and didn't sell it.I would have took the guys money and kissed him!

  • Its worth clicking on the ebay link and checking out some of the other vehicles in this guys showroom too. Go towards the end of the series of pictures and you will see some pretty neat muscle cars.

You can see a bunch of that roughness from the pictures. I was thinking about $25k too.

It is a very nice car and desirable but only to a point.

  • Gene, The $49,880 price was actually not a sale price. That was the Buy-It-Now price and there were no bidders. If a Buy-It-Now or Best Offer auction ends in a sale, it will state "sold for" and the price.

  • I was having breakfast this weekend at the local joint near my weekend house and they were asking how my restoration was coming along. All of a sudden this local I know says he's got a 64 Fairlane K Code he wants to sell me for $1500. It doesn't have the original motor and someone apparently cut a sunroof into it. It also has been made into a Thunderbolt clone and I don't know what else was done or the quality of the parts. I have to go and see it. I wonder what it may be worth and if its worth the effort ?

Wow...$erious project for someone who knows what they're doing.

  • Will get some pics of it when the weather allows me to get into the guys barn. Saw that listing on e bay which makes me more interested in my find due to the asking $$$

Today a friend has located a 63 1/2 Ford Galazie 500 with a 390 automatic. I havent seen it as its under a mountain of snow. Aksing price $700.

These will both be hard to pass up on.

My wife was kind enough to say that " you could store it in the barn until I am ready to restore it ! "

Wow now why didnt I think of that ?? LOL
