I'VE OWNED THIS CAR FOR OVER 33 YEARS AND PLANNED ON KEEPING IT FOREVER. HOWEVER, DUE TO AN UNEXPECTED FINANCIAL SITUATION I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO SALE IT AND I HATE TO SEE IT GO. I'M SELLING MY 1965 FORD MUSTANG FASTBACK AND IT IS AN ORIGINAL "K" CODE WHICH IS VERY RARE. IT HAS A NEW 289 HI-PO ENGINE (NOM), 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION, CONSOLE, AIR CONDITIONIONG AND THE WHEELS ARE TRUE AMERICAN RACING WHEELS. I HAVE THE SHELBY TAIL LIGHTS AND ALL THE PARTS NEEDED PLUS EXTRAS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF:: THE DOOR PANELS, SHIFTER AND EXHAUST SYSTEM FROM MANIFOLDS BACK. THE BODY IS PRIMIERED AND IN EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. IT HAS BEEN GARAGE KEPT FOR THE ENTIRE 33 YEARS I HAVE OWNED IT. THE FLOORS HAVE NEVER BEEN CUT OUT AND THERE IS NO RUST. THE TRUNK IS AMAZINGLY RUST FREE.I RECENTLY HAD NEW CARPET AND A NEW DASK INSTALLED. IN 1976 I HAD THE CAR RESTORED PROFESSIONALLY WITH A FRAME OFF RESTORATION. A FRIEND OF THE FAMILY TALKED ME INTO ENTERING IT INTO A CAR SHOW IN DALLAS, TEXAS AND IT TOOK FIRST PLACE. I ONLY ENTERED IT INTO 6 CAR SHOWS DURING THAT PERIOD AND IN EVERY SINGLE SHOW IT PLACED IN THE TOP FIVE PICKS. MUSTANG WANTED TO FEATURE IT IN ONE OF THEIR UPCOMING MAGNAIZES. HEALTH PROBLEMS PREVENTED TRAVELING SO I PUT A COVER OVER IT AND LOCKED IT AWAY IN MY GARAGE. OVER THE YEARS ITEMS AND BOXES WERE STACKED ONTO OF THE CAR AND MY KIDS ALMOST TURNED IT INTO THEIR PERSONAL STORAGE UNIT. AS YOU CAN SEE SADLY THE CAR DETORIATED OVER THE YEARS. IN DECEMBER OF 2005 I STARTED TO REBUILD IT AGAIN. EVERYTHING TAKEN OFF THE CAR IS IN BOXES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE THREE THINGS I LISTED ABOVE. THE CAR CAN NOT BE DRIVEN HOME IT MUST BE TRAILERED DUE TO THE LACK OF THE EXHAUST AND THE SHIFTER. VIN# 5R09K147151

  • Seems odd. No bidders have asked if the block is the original or if it was replaced with the "new" engine.

Talk about "That 70's Show" LOL. Complete with flares and the less attractive (IMO) tail lights I see to often.

Someone has a lot of work ahead of them <img src=images/icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>

  • "NOM" means......Not Original Motor.

Do you ever stop to think that maybe the owner of the car you are calling "ugly" is reading your post? It has happened in the past.<img src=images/icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>

    lol...

    I won't call the car ugly, I will give credit for the creative radiator hose routing though <img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

NOM...got it. I am not up on used car lingo.

I fixed my post too...thanks for pointing it out, yes, it was bad choice of words. <img src=images/icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle>

<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana" size=2 id=quote> If the owner of the car does happen to read the post, I doubt if he would be overly shocked. This can't be the first time that the word 'ugly' came up in the conversation.<img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

  • Notice the unique clutch & brake pedals <img src=images/icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_dead.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_angry.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_sleepy.gif border=0 align=middle>

  • It looks like the radiator might be a later style 5.0 setup. The fan shroud is out of a later model car. Alternator is mounted up high. Good call on the pedal setup, is that a auto tranny brake pedal arm that someone put the clutch pedal swimg arm with? Auto tranny console? Lots of questions.

  • I was just notified by Ebay that the seller of this car was just suspended by Ebay. It is not clear to me what happened but Ebay recommended that if I had sent the seller any money that I should use all means possible to recover it. Luckily I was not the high bidder and have not sent any funds for this car. Maybe this explains why it was back on Ebay so fast after the first sale.

At least you didn't use the contraction, "F'ugly". I have seen old magazine articles that enthusiastically show you how to cut the taillight panel and install either Cougar taillights, or if you prefer, 3 sets of Mustang taillights.

  • <BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>

so is that an automatic brake pedal? this is troublesome.

    A picture's worth a thousand words...

  • Well...I certainly don't mind calling that engine compartment UGLY with that monster hose routing. And I don't intend to edit the post.<img src=images/icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
