Looks pretty good. Was that a rare color?

Rare in numbers, yes. Desirable??? Well, dunno about that!
It appears that the listing is no longer available on ebay.
Dave,
The listing is actually in Hemmings, not on Ebay. There are no real details in the listing that I can see.

26 coats of paint? Won't that cause cracking problems later?
Sounds like an old school lacquer paint job.

It is an "A" code and the seller says that somewhere along the line a HiPo engine was put in the car
I believe this is false advertising when it states
289 Hi-Po K-code, don't you guys agree?
If the car is not a K-code, i.e has a K in the
serial number it should not be advertised as such.
Just my two cents.

I called twice, got a machine, and no call back.....hmmmm.
I agree with Bo. The initial statement as being a "K" code does not indicate that it is purely the engine. This would even cast doubts on the engine being correct at this point.

If this is correct, that would make this car the cousin of the "Indy Pace Car" on ebay recently.
It probably has a mere "Hi-PO" decal on the air cleaner. Just like the other Hi-Po car I inquired about on Craigs List locally here. Why would somebody advertise it falsly only to waste everybody's time, including the seller!?!?
