I have a May, '65 built San Jose built HiPo. What should the fuel pump look like? I didn't think it was supposed to have the button (teapot) on the top. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

You gotta love private auctions! I have watched this car on eBay the last couple of times and am amazed at how quickly it shoots up the dollar ladder while real Shelbys just kind of sit still.

Sorry, I don't normally post negative comments but this just drives me batty. Does the seller think that bidders are that dumb to not know what is taking place?

    Hi Dave.

Great to see you on the site. I hope all's well in your world. Good luck selling the car.

    Best regards,

    René

    Hey Rene -

Good to see that you are still around as well. I hope your K car has continued to do well for you. Everything is good for me but I have decided to slim down a little (cars that is) so this Shelby will be going if an interested party comes along. Shoot me an e-mail sometime and get me up to date on everything you have going on these days. By the way, how were the Get Smart DVDs?

    Regards,

    David

I know this is not a K car but I hope the administrators will be OK with me posting it here. Anyway, I have a '68 GT 500 convertible that is highland green with a black interior and white top that I would like to sell. It is a factory 4 speed car that I will label as a high end driver. It is definitely not a concours car but it is nice. The following original items that I know of that are missing are the exhaust manifolds (has headers), distributor and smog. The car has a new white top and the interior is believed to be original. All body tags are in place and the fiberglass is the original stuff. I do know that sometime in the car's life the two quarters were replaced but other than that I am not sure. If anyone is interested, the price on the car is $90K and I can be contacted through this site if you need more information.

    Thanks,

This car had seen some miles when I bought it (many of which were on a dragstrip in SC) but I can attest to the VIN being on the block when I purchased the car. However, I cannot explain the difference between the build date of the car and the block. I guess these types of things will always be discussed and debated. I can say it has all of it's original body panels except for a lower quarter patch on one side but I think that is pretty much it. I sold the car to another fellow in NC and he in turn sold it to a guy in VA who I am guessing then sold the car to Fraser-Dante. I tried to buy the car back but at the time the seller in VA was not interested in selling. Next time I heard about the car, I find out that it has been sold to Fraser-Dante.

I cannot speak for the price but the car is solid and has a good look to it. Good luck to the new owner!

Yep, this is my old car. I originally purchased it out of the mountains of NC and had it stripped to nothing and painted. Never could find the time to put it back together so I sold the car. It has gone through another set of hands or two since then but I am sure that is my car. I don't know anything about the seller but if anyone on this site bought the car, let me know and I will forward you all of the pictures that I had of the car during its time with me.

Oh yeah, the car has the correct red oxide on the underside (at least when I had the car) but the camera flash and lighting is not allowing for the true color to show up.

Sorry but I have been traveling and am just now returning home.

The car breaks down as a Metuchen, NJ car built on May 9, 1966. It has a DSO of 178008 and it is a blank paint code car. The car is also a 4-speed K coupe with a black standard interior.

Any help will be very much appreciated!

Back in the summer of '07 I installed new ACC carpet in my Boss 302 at the time and it was horrible. Much the same posts as these on this site can be found on the Boss 302 site. I worked with NPD and went through 3 sets of carpet before I got one that was OK, not great or good, just OK. I have to believe that ACC has caused NPD a lot of grief but through it all, NPD is the one that really showed what customer service is all about.

    Hey all -

I just finished a clean-up of the '66 K GT Coupe that I presently own and was wondering if anyone had pictures of where all of the stickers should go on this car? I am thinking the ones under the hood and in the trunk primarily but there may be others. I ordered a sticker/decal kit from Virginia Classic Mustang and I want to make sure that I place them all correctly.

    Thanks in advance,
