Has anyone seen a HiPo fan spacer known to be original to a car that actually has the C3OE casting number? I've looked at a number of OE spacers from April 65 through 66 GT350s and none have had it.
Thanks,
Dave

I've got 2 - my original from mid April '65 - short length - and a longer version from an August/Spet "A" code '66 - neither one has any numbers - just a very small logo on the very tip where it goes thru the fan.

Thanks for the info guys. Bob Mannel's book says the casting number may be there but I have yet to see one OE on a 65-66 HiPo. I do have a correct length HiPo spacer with the casting number but bought it at a swap meet so have no idea what it came off of.
The same spacers were used on lots of Fords - as long as it is the right length I think you are good.<img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
While you guys are on this topic can you tell me the correct length of a hipo spacer please.
Cheers
Andrew

They are bare cast aluminum. I lightly bead blast mine and spray it clear satin. The only other application I find for this spacer is a 1968 Mustang 289/302 with extra cooling. This is from the Ford Car Parts book covering 1965 to 1972.
