Forgot to add, what style clamps were used on the gas filler hose also?. Thanks Andrew

Can someone please tell me what style radiator hose clamps were used on San Jose k code built 10/31/64? Also would this car have had an Arvinode exhaust? NPD catalogue says some San Jose k's may not have had it until near the end of the year.
Thanks Andrew (NZ)

I'm interested in buying your non-correct fan spacer if you still have it. I'm in Tauranga, ph 0274 308480

Can anyone help me identify a camshaft which is supposedly a hipo cam. I know it's not an original. It was supplied by O'Reillys I believe. On the end journal is stamped J102 and 921130. Cast in between the end journal and the last lobe is A1 and on the opposite side 17.
Thanks
Andrew (and Merry Christmas to all you K coders)

Ray, the shippers here were told by the agent in Carson that they thought they had gone to Sweden, but they did not turn up there. Clearly no one knows where the heck they went. Other items I have bought have shipped to me without any trouble since then. I can only be hopeful they got buried in a corner and will eventually turn up.
In the meantime I will keep looking for an alternative pair.
-
Fortunately the agent is going to reimburse me , but it's not as if I can take that money to my local autoparts shop and replace them. We all know the research and time it takes to find the correct parts for our Kars. If anyone has a pair of suitably dated heads for sale I would be keen to hear from you.
And yes Fred does pack his parts well, never had a problem with that.
Cheers

I recently bought a pair of heads from a forum member who reconditioned them and sent them to a shipping agent in Carson Ca WHO HAS LOST THEM. I am heartbroken as you can imagine!!
Date code on the heads was 4J15 and 4J16. If they turn up anywhere i would appreciate a contact. Thanks Andrew

Hi Ray
Remember those heads that you arranged for me that were coming to New Zealand, well they're still coming! Last week they were in Sweden, don't know how but at least someone is tracking them. One day they will arrive here I guess. Good luck with your main caps, I never thought to ask what else you had and have since bought some off ebay
Cheers

The build date is 31K (Oct 64) not the mileage! If only! Thanks, Andrew

What color would the underside of a 31k 65 K code fastback ex San Jose be? Body color is Poppy Red.
Thanks

Anyone know if Mellings pushrods are hardened, part no MPR-279? Thanks Andrew

Hi guys, this is me, Fred, who you sent the parts to in NZ.
My car is 65, left hand drive. The mirror is non-remote, standard 65 model. The rear mounting screw on the base of the mirror is in line with the back edge if the quarter window frame.
-
I'm trying to figure if my rear view mirror on the drivers door is in the right location. Where it is the quarter window will only open 1/2 inch or so. Is this correct or should it be further back so the quarter window fully opens?
Thanks Andrew

I'm looking for a genuine hipo motor with 4J or 4K date code. A longblock will do as I have most other parts. Any condition considered. Thanks

Do you know if these heads are still available?
Thanks

Thanks Bob - I haven't measured mine yet but will on Monday.

I am trying to get my imported K code certified for use in New Zealand, where we have to have a pretty thorough check of imported vehicles.
The inspectors need to know what the minimum allowable thickness of the front brake rotors (discs) is. All I have been able to find out so far is the original thickness of 0.801 inches. Can anyone help? Thanks Andrew
