Hi all,
I've been restoring my 65 fastback and I'm getting to the point where I need to finish off the motor mounts. Should they be chassis black or natural?
Thanks,
Rick

Natural.

Great photo, I was about to ask the same question. Thanks a bunch.
Thank you very much!

Thank you for the great picture. However, I want to know if the cast iron mounts that bolt to the shock towers for a hipo are different from other cast iron mounts. Are they specific for hipos? Is anyone reproducing the cast iron mounts? As always, your input is appreciated.
Yes, the frame mounts are different.
The cast frame mounts are different on a Hipo as they are deeper to allow for the extra parts used in the mount assembly. That way the engine sits at a proper height. The casting numbers begin with a C4ZA rather than the C3DA for the standard cast frame mounts.

Would the complete PN's be C4ZA 6A030-B (R) and
6C041-B (L) for the saddles? Among all my spare
parts as well were 2 insulators but not the upper
and lower pieces. Guess I'd be searching for the
proverbial needle-in-the-haystack to complete this
set.
64.5 07K has the correct original mounts thanks to
Shelby 6S 744 donatiing its mounts in lieu of normal
V-8 mounts.<img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

That is correct. See Page 44 of the 4th Edition.
