This wimbledon white mustang convertible is now for sale again. After 2 months of dealing with a no good deadbeat, I have heard every excuse why I should give him more time to arrange financing. Regardless, the car is for sale. Please contact me for more info. Thks, Vince

Historically, when the stock market is soft the collector car market is strong. Now that the stock market is strong, the values of the collector cars is softening somewhat. There is a reason the stock market gurus always preach diversity.

By the way, I am the one who paid that riduculous amount for the '65 motor mounts. Hard to finish a car without them.

"There is never any good that comes from it. Either you're for it or against it. Generally most are against it because it's seen as an act of greed and deception. You can say all day long that it's ok "as long as the re-body work is disclosed", but somebody will end up getting burned, guaranteed."

    AMEN.

A friend of mine just invested in a soda blasting rig and it is truly amazing what the finished product looks like. He charges $210 an hour and it takes about 2.5 to 3 hours to do a mustang. He is located in lawrenceburg, IN which is a suburb of Cincinnati. If anyone is interested in his service his name is Milt Carley and he can be reached at 812-637-1735. Good Luck.

Thank you for the great picture. However, I want to know if the cast iron mounts that bolt to the shock towers for a hipo are different from other cast iron mounts. Are they specific for hipos? Is anyone reproducing the cast iron mounts? As always, your input is appreciated.

Thanks for the information. I purchased a correct autolite from him last May and asked him to restore it. My carburetor finally arrived the day after I posted on this forum. I was starting to wonder if I would ever receive the carburetor - especially after calling him six times over the past year. The work is top flight and Mike apprears to be an above board individual. However, as has been stated several times in this forum, his turn around is very slow.

Have any of the forum members used Mike Ulrey's (Florida) services, especially carburetor restoration? Is his work quality? Is he reliable and punctual? Can you count on him to deliver as promised? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

I have had a lot of interest in this car, however it has not sold. I have recently acquired a correct bellhousing and flywheel. I am asking $29000 for the car. Please email me for further information and pictures. Thanks, Vince

Having found a '68 GT500 that has not moved out of the same garage for over 20 years, I have decided to sell my '65 hipo conv. project car to pacify my wife. The car was recently stripped, the driver's door skinned and the left front floor pan replaced. The car has been painted its original wimbledon white color and it is now a rolling chassis. The front and rear ends have been rebuilt and the original 9" rear end was rebuilt prior to me purchasing the car. I have the original numbered block and top loader. The original block is cracked but I have been told the cylinder could be sleaved. I also have a rebuilt 1965 hipo 289 engine ready to go in the car. The toploader needs rebuilt - has the correct ford shifter. This car is an early 65 - build date of August 4th and has original front drum brakes. The std black interior has been recovered as well as the carpet replaced. This car has the original carlite glass - however is missing the front windshield. I now have over $36000 invested in this car, I will accept the highest reasonable offer. I am sure there will be many questions. I will answer them as quickly and honestly as I can. Please email me for further information and pictures at vkarsteter@hotmail.com. I can also be reached at 513-382-5418 - please leave a message. Thanks, Vince
