• Dave Joe informed me there was an issuse with the hangers. Am I correct in that he was able to obtain a set for you at the back of the mufflers? I am not sure where we put them when we disassembled the car and went with the turbo type mufflers. Any suggestions????

  • Joe did not provide me with any hangers. He is working with a number of potential suppliers still and it is proving to be the hardest part of the project. The original suppliers that had steel stamping machinery are long gone, so he is trying to find a couple of vendors that will reproduce to the original specs. Not easy, but he has a couple he's talking to that can do it.

  • Two hangers were used at the location with the dual exhaust plates that are under the rear seat and two were used in the rear that are located in the center of the resonator with the appropriate 2 3/4 inch band clamps. I'll post pictures after I get it on a hoist this weekend.

  • Looking at the drawings and pics, it is a different type of hanger than the service replacement mufflers use. I am anxious to see what yours looks like, By the way, how was the car show last weekend?????

  • My rear hangners are originals and are identical to the ones that Chalres has already posted. My front hangers are identical to those posted by Karl, but at this time I am short the one on the right side. The resonator band clamps are the same as those already posted. You end up with 2 front hangers, 2 rears, two resonator band clamps and two early style short-shoulder clamps to attach the outlet pipe to the front hangers. There are also 4 short should clamps on the front end at the H pipe and the muffler inlet. See earlier posts with Bob Mannel's illustration.

The system will work fine on later cars with the frame rail reinforcements, but they still need to get the early style of front hangers as mentioned above. On later cars the rear will require the later GT dual hanger clamped to the turn down with a regular horseshoe clamp instead of a band clamp in the middle of the resonator.

This is the final installation of prototype 4 and is exactly what Joe is putting into produciton. Bear in mind that his finished product will be much cleaner than this as we have had 4 sets of mufflers on this car using the same outlet pipes. The final production units will also have cleaner mufflers without any clamp scars.

  • Dave that looks sooo so good and sounds great too. Where did you get teh hangeers at the rear of the floor pan (at teh front of the axle) I see it attaches to the tailpipe and not the muffler like the service replacement. I have already placed my order with Joe, but he says that hanger will not be included. Any suggestions? I can't wait to see it and hear it on my car!! Incredible work and Thank you so much for all your hard work!!!

  • Joe is working on the reproduction of the hangers. The hangers in the photos are all originals and the front hanger is one I found as NOS, but the supplier doesn't have any more. I provided all of my originals to Joe and his vendors for comparison and measuring.

  • Hello!I am curious as to any developments in the system? When can I buy it,and any pricing info? I'm salivating to get a set!I have been to Waldren's site but no info!Just curious!!!!!Thanks,Randy

Arvinode update from Waldron's Antique Exhaust

We are proud to announce that we are ready to accept orders for our reproduction of the Arvinode system.

    There are two models available:

The "Concours" model includes 2 intermediate connector pipes with 2 "Ford" style saddle clamps (for connection to your existing H pipe), 2 wave-tuned front mufflers (with the rectangular tubes welded to the front muffler shells), 2 over-axle pipes and 2 rear resonators with turndowns.

The Concours model price is $499.

The "Base" model includes the same intermediate pipes, over-axle pipes and resonators as the Concours version, but the wave-tuned front mufflers in the Base version do NOT include the external rectangular tubes. Also, the saddle clamps are not identical to the original Ford parts; two (2) standard saddle clamps are included with this system.

The price of the Base model is $379.

Like the original Arvinode system, the components of these systems are designed to be welded together. The 2 clamps provided with the system are for attaching the intermediate pipes to your existing H pipe. If you prefer to use clamps on your system, additional clamps are available at extra cost.

Reproductions of the original hangers and brackets are not available at this time. We recommend the use of universal hangers for the over-axle pipes and the currently available GT hangers for the rear resonator tips. These parts are not included in the system prices.

  • Great price. Wish they would offer it in a 2.25" pipe version for "performance" non stock type builds. Again, nice work.
