• I see my last thread was locked. I also see that my last post was deleted. So much for democracy on the HPMX, ironic given that the great nation of the United States, a nation the world looks up to, was founded on Democracy, freedom of speach, freedom of the press and freedom in general. Even more ironic is that this thread was locked by someone from the "City of Brotherly Love".

They say a team is only as strong as its weakest link. I know who that is now.

You're kicking a dead horse. As stated in previous posts, the cars are in the registry. Sorry you feel slighted that you don't receive a confirmation email. If you're willing to volunteer your time to rewrite that section of the registry, please do so and submit your code to me. Otherwise, you'll have to be patient.

BTW, only a government entity can violate someones Constitutionally guaranteed freedoms. A private entity, such as this site, is not bound by the same restrictions and can edit or delete any post at any time for any reason and without notice. And finally, we're a representative republic, not a democracy.

  • I, for one, am glad that your thread was locked. I think your comments are hostile and insulting to the owner and the staff of this site. <img src=images/icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle>

  • I'm not sure why Robert's thread was locked and I did not see the posting that was deleted... however, I thought that the discourse had been pretty civil up to the point where it was locked... unlike what may be happening here. While I don't agree with some of his comments, Robert's concerns should have been taken as constructive criticism. I think we all recognize that there is always room for improvement and he deserved to be heard. It is clear that Robert has become frustrated. Some simple updated posts by the site owners as to the current status of the registry data could go a long way to help defuse building frustration some may have because they don't know what is happening... even if that update is to say We have your information and working to add your data as soon as we can...

With that said, I hope that everyone, in the spirit of the season, will just wish everyone else a Happy Holiday Season... and perhaps this concern can be better addressed in the New Year... Best Wishes to Everyone!

  • Everyone on this site should be thankful for the owners of this site putting up their own funds to finance the servers needed to run this site on a daily basis. I know that I am truly thankful for their dedication. The site is free for anyone in the world to register on and post or even just to read without registering. There is no requirement to have a Hipo Mustang or even a car of any sort to join this site. This site is foremost a forum for posting our thoughts and helpful comments for other forum members if we can be helpful. It is a great source of information for all Hipo Mustang enthusiasts world wide. The registry for Hipo Mustangs is purely a side endeavor but not the focus of this site. This is considered to be the Hipo Mustang Exchange and not a registry. There has been a lot of effort in getting the registry where it is today. As in all modern computer systems, the programs that we used in prior times are not always compatible with current processes making the older programs unworkable. I have some of those problems myself as my computers have been upgraded and replaced many times with newer technology making some of my older programs useless. Technology is just moving way too fast these days. I have a third Hipo Mustang that I need to register however I know that until the glitches can be worked out on the program, I will just have to wait. I am fine with that as there is no extra value added to my Kar for being in the registry. The registry is purely a listing of VINs and states or countries where they were last registered. There is no tie to any person, address, email or phone number. All of that information is never published and is kept confidential.

Thank you Marv and Hank for all that you do!
