jail or funny farm

  • $18 K for a nice driver 66 KGT coupe. 3rd member and dist. are not original. Carb. needs to be sent to pony and brakes need some work. Small rust spot in one door. I had the car on a left. There is no rust underneth and no sign of any body damage. Kar was painted and interior was replaced 15 yers ago. It's dark green with a black interior, 4spd with a 8k rally pack. With todays prices should I be fitted for a stright jacket or hand cuffs.

Ya, like the ones we have seen of your 64. I will get some as soon as I can. May have to wait till the carb is rebuilt to drive it home!

  • Final got it home. Other than the brakes it drives like a brand new 66 Mustang. Deal didn't go as smooth as expected. Seams the owner needed money and sold the rally pack for $750. I was able to buy it back for the same price, so final investment to date is $18,750. There were some pluses. It came with extra parts and has a nearly new set of Koni's.

When the PO bought the car it had 3.00 gears in it. He bought a rebuilt third member for the car with 3.50 gears. Turns out he gave the guy who had the rally pack the old 3.00 chunk. I asked him to check the part nuber on it and it is a C5#. He didn't think to check the date code. The old chunk is on it's way to me the first chance the PO gets to pick it up. Be expecting me to ask some date code questions soon. As a added bonus, when the PO bought the car it had a set of style steel wheels on it. After he put the Magnums on it, He told me a guy saw the SS wheels in his garage and offered him $300 for them. I assumed he sold them. The guy never came back to get them. So I get 5 used SS wheels to Boot. I just keeps getting better and better.

  • Very good looking Kar. You are blessed that it drives as good as it looks.
