Sorry to read this. Having sold three cars last year I know it can be painfull. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks Bo. The man selling it a Carlisle is the man buying it back.
I accepted a deposite to buy my 63 K code today. On a bright note, those that know the history of my Kar will be happy to know. It is being returned to its' rightfull heirs.

Saw the artical today<img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>. Jerry's pictures were world class as I have come to expect. He did contact Mr. Mannel for information<img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>. Today I learned things about my car I didn't know before<img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>. Life is good<img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Here's hoping they do a better job writing about your Fairlane than <i>Legendary Fords</i> did a few years ago.

I am slightly concerned. The article was done by Jerry Heasly. I think his photography may be the best, but his copy can be hard to follow. He has gotten afew details wroung on cars of mine he has shot before too. The incorrect details could have been my fault though. Jerry calls late in the evening when he has questions to ask. I get up early so am generaly in bed, but not yet asleep, when he calls. I don't remember him calling for details on the Fairlane. If he called and talked to me after I fell asleep. The artical could read like a fiction novel. I did suggest Jerry contact Bob Mannel for the details. Since Mr. Mannel knows more about my car than I do.
The guy at In The News who told me about the artical said it was titled as being about a 63 1/2 Fairlane. I have never heard a Hipo being refered to as a 63 1/2 before. So the whole artical could be about how Ford changed the roofline on the Galaxy.
Larry, with fingers crossed!

G'day
Just missed out on buying this threads vehicle, may have acted a little faster if I had seen the thread before hand and been able to trace further back ground. But thought an update on it might be in order.
It seems it was bought out to OZ by a dealer in Sydney who has just re sold it. I believe it is now finding a new home in Melbourne.
I imagine he got the $38,500AUS asking price.
Cheers
Ben

Bo, I guess it ended up being a April fools joke on me. His bank wouldn't loan him the money.

From Texas to Cal. on a open trailer. If you see it and wonder if it is a real K code the answer is yes. Hope it is better protected when they ship it to Australia. Glad I didn't wash it before they came.

Click the link under the photo in my sig. Should tell you most of what you want to know. It's about 95% original paint all original interior. I believe it's listed as the best peservered 63 K code in the Fairlane registry. Price is $29,900. I have two people very interested in my 69Rcode scj Mustang coupe. If it sales then the Fairlane will no longer be for sale. Here is a link to the 69.
