Nice looking car! I bet that turns a few Briton heads when you put it on the road! <img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
Do you know a fellow named Jeremy Davies in the London area? Has a yellow '66 convertible and a '68 GT350 fastback. Jeremy was kind enough to give me a ride in his '66 when I was in London last.
Hey Charles
I am afraid I have not met your friend, I am still a mustang newbie and have shamefuly not been to any meets yet.
We have a small local show nearby in August where last year I met a guy called Dave Raynor who brought along a GT350. He really inspired me to buy a car as I had wanted one for a while so started looking hard.
Regards Mark
Very nice looking Kar. Is that the one you got from Mark?
Jack
Hi Jack
Yes its the one, I shall only be doing the crazy 'buy it from another country without seeing it' thing once, my nerves would not stand it again.
How are you getting on with yours?
Mark
This is me driving her out of the container, she ran out of fuel at the bottom of the ramp!

Great looking Kar, Mark!!!

Thanks Fred much appreciated
Great car Mark! I fancy red/red cars like yours the most.
Matt
Cheers Matt
Pop over, you're welcome to try her out <img src=images/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
Mark,
I am glad you are happy with the car and I admire your nerve in buying a kar from another country without seeing and driving the car. My 65 coupe is not as nice as yours but it is still a blast to drive and take to local car shows and cruises. I have been cleaning it and repairing a few minor things here and there but otherwise very enjoyable. In trying to document everything, it appears that the drive train is possibly original (the vin# is on the engine and transmission and the rear end is of the right date code). The only major thing to be replaced to take it to original is the carb but I am not interested in replacing it at present. It has a C5ZF that was converted to a manual choke and it seems to run good, so why replace it if I am not going to restore the car for awhile?

Jack
Glad you are enjoying your car, from what pics I saw of yours I think you have a great car and with more original bits than mine, I have had to hunt around for a fair few parts but have enjoyed the chase which is what owning a classic is all about. Good luck keep in touch Mark
Hi can I ask what size tyres you have I need to buy some new ones and like the look of your car
thanks
Hi
They are 205/70 x 14" Uniroyal tigerpaw 1" whitewall. They are very close to the original overall diameter of 25.3"
How do people react to your car in Britain?? I'd love to see their expressions.

Great question!
He He had to chuckle at that. The very first trip out about 1/4 mile from home a guy in a BMW coming the other way practicaly climbed out of his car waving and grinning, I looked across to my wife and we thought oooh ok he likes mustangs.
We got to the coast I turned off the motor and a guy came running out of the cafe and was all over the car, turned out he was a modern mustang owner. And so it goes on.
We have now painted the car matt black and only go out between 2 and 3 oclock in the morning with no lights on <img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
