What does "exact partial" mean?

65 and 66 housings are different, do you have both styles? Pics please?

Hi there.
To the left of the photo you will see a title
"IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards"
It should look similar to this:
[ IMG ]http://i35.tinypic.com/4jkpdx.jpg[ /IMG ]
Left click on the contents and it will copy that to your computer's memory (simplistic). Come onto this website, then to this topic. Click on the edit topic of one of your threads, find a clear area, right click on the mouse and click paste. The line that is on the Tinypic site should be on this thread now. Click on preview and your picture should be there, then simply click Post New Reply.
If you still need help, send me the tag you created for your pics and I will do it for you.
Regards,
René

Are you machining the tube and the center section and pressing them in and then welding them? If you are just butt welding them together, they will not hold. Some of the people are welding in a pipe in the center and then welding the outer tube on,how are you doing yours?

As far as the welding process at the center section, here it is. The center section has a chamfer and a tube inside it that the tube is slipped over. About 3 inches of tube from the factory. The chamfer is laid back at about 30 to 40 degrees and the weld penetrates the tube and fills in the gap at the chamfered area. The tube is pressed against the center section being chucked up in the lathe and cranked up tight and held straight within .002" to .003" of an inch by the tail stock center. Many of these have been welded this way and none have ever failed, no complaints. I think our weld technology is superior to the factory. The center section actually has about 3 inches of tube that the axle tube slips over. The extension is a pilot for alignment and strength. These pilots were added at the factory. When the old welds are removed and old tubes taken apart from the center section the pilot is not damaged. thanks Don
