Isn't the top stamped bracket that mounts to the engine the same?
Yes the top piece is the same as long as it is the 7 inch plate and not the 6 inch plate. I need the complete upper mount, basicly from the top of the frame mount to the block. Thanks for your help.

Hey Tim and Hey folks,
Tim as I discussed with you the other day over the phone I believe you and I are among many in this boat. Not to hijack your thread, but I believe this touches on an important point. It appears that motor mounts have gone the way of a good HIPO fuel pump.Realizing there's a severe shortage and we all need a set I've been thinking about seeing if we can attempt to reproduce exact replicas. Of course research would have to be done on the cost, but I have access to machinists who can built just about anything and looking at the mounts they don't seem too complicated (especially since the blocks and washers are already repro'd). I also find it against my inner nature to pay these ridiculuous prices for the things (and it's only going to get worse). I don't have a set, but is someone out the up for "lending" a nice original set for me to have spec'd and an estimate or feasibility explored? Let me know your thoughts on this idea. I'm hear listening while scratching my head trying to figure out how to find a set.

The biggest problem part is the two part welded bracket between the cast frame bracket and the main insulator. The upper pieces to the block are not that tough to find.

I still would love to research the cost to have my machinists duplicate and cost the entire mount in a short run. I have the cast pieces still bolted to the shock towers. It's the top piece and the middle pieces I need. Will pay good money for a set and if I could find them might use them as patterns. If the ocst wasn't bad - help others out of the jam of missing mounts.
Here is a picture of actual Hipo mounts. Some of the parts look the same.

hope this helps.
Would some Knowledgeable please chime in with a tutorial on proper K motor mounts? Pieces, pictures, years? Worthwhile would be to separate the Mustang from the Fairlane, Falcon, or whatever else received such or similar mounts for their high-performance optioned engines.
Thanks,

We have already discussed this topic quite a bit here over the years. This site has a SEARCH feature that will help pull out all this information for you. Just type in "HiPo motor mounts", and check out all the posts that will appear. Don't forget to select the "Archived Posts" when doing a search because topics automatically go into the Archives about six months after the last reply is made on a topic...
