  • Here is some pictures of my 67gt vert.

My son flew over from Wis. and is giving me a computer lesson as we try to post these pictures. This is a K code we found last Nov. Got it running after it sat for about 22 years. The one picture is of the rolled lip on the front fender. The Paxton was a dealer installed option and was put on at North Bros. Ford not too far from where I grew up.

Qman - Let me know if you need that Paxton out of your garage....I will take it off of your hands.

  • Hey Richard and Mike, the cars look great in the photo! Personally, I'm just glad that I can see them up close and personal. There are no finer examples anywhere!

  • Hi Guys, sorry about the messed up posts. I don't have it figured out yet, but if you will check out the above post you can see my twilight turquoise 65 fastback as it came out of a barn in Iowa in 1997 and then the way it is now. My wife and I took it on it's first road trip to see Mt. Rushmore in the Black Hills, S. Dakota.

Beauty!!! There was a '65 Twighlight Turquois fasback in Nashville two years ago. The first time I ever saw this color and it was stunning. Good job!

p.s. To get the picture in the post do it like this, but spell "image" correcly:

Have a Q for PonyGT as well as others. Are your stripes factory?

It was my understanding GT stripes are to match the interior color?

I know a gentleman, that has owned his all original K Code GT Fastback, 65 I think, Gray with black standard interior with red stripes. He swears thats original and I have always cocked an eyebrow at that. He is a very honest and trustyworthy guy, 72yrs old, just sold his 66GT350H a few months ago.

Now I see PonyGT has white Int, with red stripes also. Any rules to this? What have you guys seen? Won't be the first time I have been wrong...

  • I don't know for sure and I didn't research it but I've seen original cars with GT stripes that didn't match the interior color. A black car with black interior, red car with red interior, green car with green or black interior and several other color combinations, many of which are fairly common, would have to have a GT stripe that contrasted witht the paint color, therefore could not be the same as the interior color or the stripe wouldn't show. Seems like a car could have been ordered with some choice in color of the GT stripe but there may have been some sort of standard depending on the paint and interior colors.

My interior is black standard. I have seen more white stripes than red, on a black GT. I never looked into it. With so many 'variables' I didn't think it was a priority.....and I liked the Red stripe better than the white, so I wasnt' goign to complain. <img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

  • If I've done this correctly there should be a picture of my Kar from yesterday's Fudd's Show in Citrus Heights, CA. It was a beautiful day and there were a lot of nice rods, plus original and modified 40's, 50's & 60's cars. I didn't win an award, but it was great getting my Kar out there. Kevin
