decal I have is wider than top edge of support, realy does not fit good. thats what got me thinking. I'll leave off for now an see what happens, research more

3 wires one was on positive lug, one on the field, and one on the ground, no other wires , anything needed on stater lug I do not think it had anything on it. 66 -
special wheel, 857 nine times rd sc. They did mine an it came out mint, original grain in plastic. came with 3 year warranty around 285 bucks at the time.

how about 66, I red that pulley is black but mixed info on fan. can pulley be black and fan be zinc?

the interior mirror is chrome, my question is the back of the mirror should have the bars painted argeant silver? is area around bars left chrome?

Sounds like you do not have enough spring tension. I had similar problem an I just turned bracket for spring on carb a little to add tension an it was fine. also make sure mat or something isn't binding linkage.

After talking with pony carb, they strongly suggested not to touch carb. they also said that because of the reengineering inside the carb that the settings are not the same as the ford specs. so I searched elsewhere an after getting a coil from jdlarson, installed today an problem gone, runs great, I guess coils can be bad at low rpm an not high. At least the china knockoffs anyway. Thanks to everyone that had input.
