• The car is sold, to a gentleman in Alabama. He intends to do what I wanted to do, give it the full, proper restoration. We'll see, I am sad I couldn't see it through. I think the car deserves the very best.

  • Congratulations on your sale Duncan. It appears that you have placed it in good hands. Maybe the buyer will keep us updated here.

  • i think this sale is a good example of how original paperwork will make a significant difference in the demand & value of a kar. the buyer will have invested more than double his initial investment of around 30k by the time its done.

just my opinion but for me if i had that much to spend i'd buy one already done, be able to drive & enjoy it NOW and likely have spent less.

it is an extremely rare car but that color IMO is ugly to put it mildly, although i consider myself a purist, if i had it she'd be getting painted a different color than that gold.

  • The overriding issue of colorisof concern, but the true color is NOT that in the picture, the car was painted in its past and there was no concern to find the real color. This car was not valuable enough. I spoke to the original owners wife, and she said she auctioned the car, along with a bunch of cars and stuff, in 2001. The total history from new is known, and that, I feel, is the highlight of this K.
