Yep, that's what I'm after. Know of an original available?

I am looking for an original 1966 Ford High Performance Manual. I know reproductions are available but would prefer to have an original if I can locate one. Please email me if you have one you're willing to part with. My direct email is brittonwhitworth at hotmail.com

Can anyone tell me what the correct color coil spring stripes should be for a February San Jose built 1966 Fastback with automatic transmission?
From the Hipo book, 65's should have a reddish-brown stripe and 67's should be gold/tan. What about 66's?
-
Yes, I had the original for my car.
-
Figured it out, thanks.

Does anyone have a good picture or reference to how the choke cable is routed through the fire wall and to the carburetor?

On a C4 I have, "AL" is stamped on the LH side on flat boss as well as " 1 8 8 8" to the right of it. Can anyone help decode these numbers for me? The side of the case is marked C6DP.

I'll be at Round Up but most likely with my 66 C code convertible on Sunday. My 66 Hipo fastback won't be ready until nex year's show unfortunately. Paint was just finished a few weeks ago, so now we're into the assembly stage.
I'm planning on attending the Kirkland Concours show as well, albeit as a spectator. Thanks for the heads up on the GT 40s.

Thanks for the offer but I haven't decided if I am going to sell the Cobra manifold. I may hold onto it as a spare.

I think 5G is too early of a date code for my kar.
-
Looking for a nice 4v manifold date correct for my Feb. 1966 built Kar. Date codes of 5M-6B are preferred. Mine was replaced with a Cobra intake and I am trying to put things back to stock. Please e-mail me at brittonwhitworth@hotmail.com with price and date code. Thanks.
-
Thanks for the response. Fred was able to hook me up with date coded manifolds for my Kar.
-
Looking for a pair of original Hipo exhaust manifolds. Would prefer to find ones date coded correct for my Feb. 1966 car. My originals were swapped out for Tri-y's back in the '60s. Please PM or email me directly at brittonwhitworth@hotmail.com if you have a pair for sale.

Here is an interesting Mustang Monthly article on the car. I'm presuming the low San Jose VIN played some part in the high selling price?
