  • The Buy-It-Now was lowered to $18,600. The seller declined an offer of $18,000 for it so it did not sell.

  • I will give the seller credit for being reasonably honest in his descriptions. The average buyer would not notice that the rear end is not correct and he listed it as "period correct" which seems fine to me. He is not trying to misrepresent the Kar as numbers matching and trying to hide things like a lot of other sellers seem to do. It does look like a good solid Kar that would make a good platform to bring back to original specs.

  • The undercarriage pictures were taken in a muffler shop while he was having the exhaust system changed. There is a muffler stand in one of the pictures. The harmonic balancer appears to be a standard one and not a Hipo. It will also need a speedo cable as this one is burned up below the trans.

  • The small balancer, the fact that it has a" correct 289 block with correct hipo heads, solid lifters" leads me to believe it is a stock 289 with the hipo heads and solid lifters added, NOT a hipo engine. To me that is a huge difference . Real hipo engines are more than heads and lifters. my .02 cents worth.X(
