  • I remember seeing this K at Nashville. It's a beauty. Not worth 125 grand, though. The collector car market will continues to slide. The housing market is tanking. The overall economy is in a downward spiral. Gas will soon be $5 a gallon. It's safe to say the good times are over, at least for a while.

  • sfred,

I think a $72K purchase price is a good buy. You would not be able to restore one yourself for that $$$ - assuming you find a restorable car with this color combo in the first place (likely not!) Hop on a plane, write the check and enjoy your car - It doesn't look like it should be driven, though. I hope you have a nice museum and a trailer. She is a beauty!

  • Gerald,

Nice photo - did you take that shot?!?!

Cheer up - The good times are still to come, and I don't believe it's over until the good Lord comes and says it is!

  • I think that is a good buy. I saw the car last year at Russo Steele. Very nice, very unique color combo. That price is at least $10K below what the dealer has in it. I think with commission, they paid $78K at Russo. They then trailered it to an auction at Pebble Beach last summer, and one of the auctions this spring in AZ. Both ended in reserves not being met. Not sure what fees are associated with that.

Enjoy it knowing you probably will not see another one like it.

  • Pretty car, your price is Market Value right now, and you did well. That level of restoration doesn't come cheap. Sneak out and drive it!!!<img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

  • The price has now been lowered to $99,500 which is quite a change from the $125,000 price a couple of weeks ago. My inspection of this Kar may have helped change their thoughts on the price.
