because the Fel Pro intake gaskets are blue in color and really stand out, what are other "K" owners using beside Fel Pro gaskets. I believe the original intake gaskets were made by McCord.

Mark - try getting a look at a Victor set. I think they're black, but can't remember - NAPA.

Has anyone ever seen a stamped steel intake gasket with a valley pan for 289s like on 351 Clevelands and some Chryslers?? I seem to remember seeing one on ebay a few years ago that the seller claimed was a nos Ford racing part from way back. I've never seen anything like it since though.

Maybe I'm out of line but does it really matter what color the gasket is? Weren't engines painted as an assembly from the factory therefore also painting any exposed gasket material?

I matters to the fellows with aluminum intakes.<img src=images/icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>

I have NOS Ford intake gaskests that are white and apparently made by Raybestos as that is the purple ink stamping on them.

I just installed my aluminum intake today for my 67 gt350 and used a set of NOS gaskets, light blue in color. Randy

The light blue gaskets are the later replacements as the originals were white.
