Once again, what an incredible collection of super nice Mustangs in Ashville. There were 474 total on the grounds and many nice K codes and other rare Kars! Charles brought his freshly finished convertible, Dan drove his again all the way from Ohio. and Meryln was there too. It was nice to see Richard and all the others. Its a shame the show season is almost over. What a nice site, great weather, lots of shade and many, many memories. See everyone next year!

The Shelby GT350H SFM 6S5309 lists the vin as 5F09A342874. A '66 Shelby with a '65 A code vin?

I was suprised to see so many K codes at Asheville. I counted at least 9 genuine hipos, and that was not including the Shelbys. I did not make the entire rounds so there could have possibly been more. Among the unusual, were three 66 K GT cars painted the special order Sapphire Blue metallic. Charles' 65 K convertible restoration has to be seen to be believed. This was a great show, especially for hipo enthusiasts.
There was a 65 Caspian Blue convertible that had hipo badges on the fenders but I never got close enough to see if it was a legitimate hipo. For others that were at the show, was it the genuine article or just a badged 65 convertible?
