You might want to compare to this kar that sold for $14999 in May of 2011. I believe listing will end soon.

If the driver door warranty plate is still there, please post the codes. Thanks.

Again, the kar was a rolling shell in Arkansas at one time and the owner at the time said it was silversmoke grey.

My database says this kar was a silversmoke grey rolling chassis from Arkansas. What a transformation! Silver blue with red interior and GT to boot! Data tag must be an incorrect repro. Kar is in my neck of the woods; will check it out.

Mark,
Looks terrific! Nice work.

Appears that this is the kar from that sale. Seller says he just bought 300 cars and has Huntsville, AL address. 5F09K741185

I thought all original bellhousings have date codes. I have several with date codes. Two digit year code with either stars or dots in a circle around the year code. Number of dots corresponds to month.

Welcome! I have a black on black October 5, 1964 Dearborn kar that I've been restoring. Your kar should have an alternator.

I think the owner just needs to put his glasses on. For trim he gives 80, most likely D6 (judging from the interior); for build date he gives 05B, vin puts it at 05Q and the H is probably an 8. Some semi-educated inferences on my part.

My 66 coupe/fastback has the C4ZE Y2 W-MO radiator, just a different date of 1 66. San Jose car, LA DSO. The Y2 designates manual radiator, 3 or 4 speed. I know the shelby guys pay top dollar for them. I've seen these manual radiators go for as much as $600.

I realize this is off the main topic but 5boltk, your vin indicates a June 16th or thereabouts build date. The block stampings you give are from a July block. My database shows this kar as not having an engine or trans. Not sure when I recorded this but it's been awhile from a PO in Iowa. The information doesn't seem to add up.

Unfortunately, the topic has been locked but if you look under New Members and expand the topics to 60 days you'll see a topic called something like "Unable to add my kar to the registry". This has been a complaint of many and in that topic the registrar comments that all kars have been added to the database; the individuals just don't seem to be getting a response that their kar has been added. So, I think the kars are being added; however, a definite improvement in communication is needed. I keep my own database and have more kars that can be added. This seems to a touchy subject with ownership issues. Don't know that I've helped any but thought I'd chime in.
This is a great site and I've learned tons of stuff. Just think of the Arvinode research and recreation. Wow! There are many more excellent examples of the knowledge that this site has brought us. This is way more than an eBay selling site.

Check this out. I know it's not K stuff but is genetically related. Wow! Wonder if the $21.95 CD version is out.

The Shelby GT350H SFM 6S5309 lists the vin as 5F09A342874. A '66 Shelby with a '65 A code vin?
-
Never seen a hole in that location. I think it's just an arrow pointing to the two bumper brace holes and the distance given indicates the distance to the two holes from the ground.

Bob,
Thanks for your reply. The seller of the one I have said it's NOS. This sprocket has S351 (M) stamped on the back side, the side that butts up to the crankshaft.

Listed on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ULT…=item4aa336c082
Lots of sheet metal date codes listed but no engine date code or vin shown. Trans is a Galaxie HEH-D close ratio. Not familiar with the bell housing. Beautiful kar!

Does anyone have a picture of an original crankshaft sprocket or know if there are ford markings or numbers on the sprocket and what are they? I did an advanced search and came up with a picture of one side, but no numbers. Thanks.
