WoW $5000 + for WOOD STEERING WHEEL

  • The sellers name is Marty Macintosh. He usually prices his items high in hopes of getting a player. He was the one that sold the Hipo fastback roof and title recently. He has used a number of handles on Ebay as listed below. You may recognize some of them:

  • The S7MS 3600 B was wood and fit both the GT350 and GT500. It was available through the Ford parts system and would have been in a Ford box. It would not have come with the horn button as there were two different ones for the GT350 and GT500. The part number on this box is unreadable in the pictures and the receipt is for an S7MS 3600 A which is not in the Ford parts book.

  • Isn't it something that now NOS can mean used. I mean the wheel was installed on a car & driven until 1980 then stored taken off reboxed & then advertised as NOS. Hey I'm sorry I thought the "N" in NOS meant "NEW" meaning never used or installed. My 2 cents.

  • I agree and don't believe he will get that kind of money

for this steering wheel. The steering wheel in my 67 has

never been out of the car in the soon 31 years I have owned

the car and the surface is in much better shape then

what appears to be the case with this wheel.

Remember when Hansen Racing, Shelby importer to Sweden,

had 5 of these wheels hanging on the wall for sale in his shop

in Stockholm. Must have been in 1979 and the price per wheel was

very low. Guess NOS means Near Old Stock these days.

That's right, Bob. Maybe that's why he started the price at only $5595.00? If it was actually NOS, I guess his price would be double.

Maybe NOS means "Not Old Stock"...

Thanks Fred for keeping track of the Ebayers out there looking to scam us.

He does have an excellent feedback rating and does not appear to be trying to "scam" someone. If the price is too high, just move along. The ultimate purchase price, if it does sell, will indicate its current value to someone at this particular time. Tomorrow could be different.

  • Sorry Shelb66, but I was talking about Fred keeping track of other Ebayers. Not this guy. I was just shocked at his starting price!
