Kudos to bob mannel

Just got bob's book and did a teardown on my hipo 289. was able to correctly identify every part. it's the best, most comprehensive book I've seen on an engine subject. way better than my Porsche and ferrari manuals..Well done bob, thanks!

Bob's book is incredible! The amount of research he did to write the book is staggering.

Ditto on all of the above. I thought I had ALL of the "right" books until I bought this one. A very valuable reference indeed.
