I run the 3 chamber Flow Masters, 50 series if I recall. Never compared them to the 2 chamber variety, but I don't consider them loud (a very subjective area) and I don't seem to suffer from any serious harmonic issues either.

I've used Dynomax before, have a nice agressive tone but no resonation issue (droning) like the 2 chamber Flowmasters. The Dynomax also looks more like a stock muffler. I have the repro exhaust on my Kar because I like the subtle tone it has.

My first 66 GT had 3 chambers and my friend had 2 chambers. You're still going to hear the car with 3 chambers. Another thing to consider is if you have 3 or 4 speed. 3 chambers roaring at 3,500 rpm is still going to be pretty loud.
I have a stock exhaust on my current car and it's a LOT quieter.

After trying Borla, etc. I l found a muffler kit I really can live with & enjoy: a Magnaflow 2.5" with x pipe.

I, too, have the magnafow 2-1/2", on my 347, custom brace for convertable..... a tad loud for me, but its an individual taste thing, as you know.... convert's are louder with top down.
