Can someone explain(photo if poss.) how the accelerator return spring(next to carb) locates, along with it's bracket.

Phil, I believe that the bracket attaches to the left rear carb stud, and faces forward.
The spring hooks to the bracket, and then to the "Z" area of the accelerator rod.
As they say, "It's in THE BOOK".
