• What lug wrench configuration is correct for my JULY 1965 Kar? I always thought the wracheting handles were for the EARLY cars? what jack would I need to find....?? anyone have pics?? are the current repros ok?? who has the best?? anyone have used/restored units for sale?? Thanks!

  • Make sure that you read Charles post carefully. I believe that he is trying to let you know that the crimped ratcheting handle is correct for you rather than the earlier non crimped ratcheting handle. I have both types in stock. I may have a jack as well. These could be shipped with your fuel pump.

  • Could you describe 'crimped'? Are you refering to the handle where the two edges are squeezed together in an'O' cross-section? Or where the two edges are in a 'U'cross-section shape? I have one of each.

  • Jim, Possibly Charles would be better on this question however it is my belief that the open one is more for 64 1/2 cars. Maybe he will chime in on this one as I would also like to know for sure.

Your July '65 car should have a crimped handle ratcheting lug wrench. The jack would be the typical flip top.

I've seen several different styles of the flip top jack regarding the end nut the adjustment bolt screws into. Wondering if different styles are more correct for different years.
