1967 Black on Black K code Nut and Bolt Resto

For sale is a nut and bolt restoration of a '67 Black on Black K code fastback. This car is being painted on Monday May 11th, and will begin the process of being reassembled. This car is unfortunately not numbers matching. Please email me at mustang559@hotmail.com or call 402-529-6337 for more information on this car. I am asking 55,000 for the car or best offer. What does the shoulder harness option look like? Is that a sash type addition to the standard lap belt?

For instance if one forgets to release the parking brake, the shoulder belt must be unbuckled so you can reach the brake handle, that is unless you have arms the length of a gorilla.

This is a perfect example of a quality restoration. I have purchased the 65 K Kar from Troy and will begin the build here in the next few weeks.

Great job on the 67 K and I look forward to showing the progress of the 65 K

I may be wrong...I often am, but didn't competition suspension get you the 140 mph speedometer?

Good question, I was unable to find info to confirm or deny if the 120 speedo was correct. I assumed it was considering the came to me as you see the speed and 8K tach. I would think if someone was willing to go through the trouble of changing the speed, they would just replace it all. I would have...LOL!

a likely scenario is that the original 140 mph speed went south, and the Ford dealer only had the 120 in stock.

Hi all on this subject,

Nice to see another rare car back together to be enjoyed..nice accomplishment.

The question about the speedometer is interesting.When you look it up in the Ford parts listing,you have the choice of at least 3 types 0-120 0-140 0-220 kph. Tachs are 6,000 or 8,000 and clocks are also a seperate listing,which would make us think it is possible to have any combination if it was ordered that way.I think all hipos had tachs in 67 and if the cluster is removed each part is typically date coded with a stamp,which should clue us into how it was originally built.Believe it or not a clock is a rare find.

Beautiful car....you don't see many hipo 67's.

Although I think the competition suspension orginally got you Gabriel adjustable shocks on the front and back and 15 inch wheels with hub caps. If someone knows other wise it would be good to know.

I see it's been four months since your very fine car was first put up for sale on the forum. Are you still asking 55k ?

I'm seeing many fine cars for sale on various auctions that aren't even getting a single bid. Are you having many offers ?

I'm not trying to pry into your private business, but since you posted it for sale here, I think a few general questions are not intrusive. My apologies if you feel otherwise.

I'm just trying to gauge the market, & see if there is any movement.
