I am currently rebuilding a 66 Hipo, and was wondering if anybody had a recommended piston to replace the originals. I would like a forged piston, .030.
Thanks

Is any one aware of a Solid roller cam that mirrors the hipo specs? Is not, does any one have all the specs to I can have one custom ground?
What is the lobe center of the cam?
We have a 65 K convert with the numbers matching 4 speed still in it. It will make someone a nice project.
Hi Dave,
Here is how we are saving a rust car. Just an Idea. We decided t ouse original metal out of a solid parts car. We are also cutting parts off the front rails to save this car. Then full quarters and a one piece floor will be installed.

I am a motivated seller on this Car. $15,000.00 Or best offer with the motor or 11,000.00 or Best offer With out the motor and Trans.
Email shelby-mustang@hotmail.com or call 402-529-6337
This car has been media blasted and had most of the sheet metal work completed. Including, a one piece floor, quarter skins, rear frame rail extensions, frame rails, one piece cowl, firewall, and battery box area. The car still needs to have a very small patch installed on the front fender and the car comes with new door skins, if the new owner wants to install them. The K VIN stampings are on the front fender aprons in 3 places, the hipo rebound plate is there, and the dual exhaust heat shields are in the rear of the floor.
Included with the car is the interior, with fold down, and large fiberglass rear panels. They have had speaker holes cut in them. All of the interior will need to be restored.
There is a Hipo motor with the car, heads are fresh and date coded right, the block is date coded correct with Hipo main caps. The engine will need to be machined and assembled. Missing from the engine are the Carburetor, Distributor, and exhaust manifolds. There is a 65 4 speed top loader and bell housing included as well. It is a wide ratio 4 speed.
The car is a roller now, with disc brakes in the front and 9 inch in the rear. The 9 inch is not the correct Hipo rear, the tubes do not taper. Here is a link to more pictures

Why are you selling so quick? Is there something wrong with the car, or you just intended to flip it?
Yes, is should
I have a bell housing, flywheel, bell crank, pedals, Clutch fork, Drive shaft, I think I have everything you need to put it in the car. You will have to clean and paint. I will send you a PM.
I have 3 or 4 small block 4 speeds with shifters. mustang559@hotmail.con. I also have a K code 4 speed.
The oil pump drive should have a collar on it to keep it in the block when you pull the distributor. That way it does not fall out of the end of the distributor if you even take the distributor out. I had one fall in once....that was fun. It fell sorta sideways across the oil pump, wedged in, and blocked the oil pump drive opening.
That is the reason it should stay in the block. If it fell out, and you did not know it happened, you would start your engine with no oil pressure. That is an expensive mistake.
I have a 66 K Kode GT Fastback. This is a project car...with that said, it is rusty, front and back rails, trunk floor, quarters, floor...the usual rust. However, the car does retain what I think is it original transmission 4 speed HEH-BX and the 9 inch is still with the car. It does have a clear title, and VIN stamped on the fender aprons. The original motor was gone when I bought the car, but I do have a 66 HP Block with Mexican main caps I would sell additionally if some one was interested. The original door tag is missing. The door glass is there, but the rear interior is missing. I am asking $8500.00 or best offer. mustang559@hotmail.com

Hi Dino,
Greetings from Nebraska, I have a feeling I know the car you are referring to!

Some days you just have to double check yourself. Thanks
I have an October of 64 K car, and was wondering is the engine blue or black?
Thanks
Do you have a picture of them?
Spray carb cleaner around the base of the carb....if the RPM goes up, there is a vacuum leak. Also, Edelbrocks have vacuum ports in the front and back of the carb base. You can also spray around where the intake bolted to the heads.
I think your fuel filter should have more fuel in it...can you see is coming in when the car is running? There is no reason this carb should idle that high. I am assuming it idled fine with the original carb?
There is also a possibility the carb is defective. I had a bad holley, new out of the box.
