Nice looking car - gotta love the steep claims in the description. I make signs for a guy who sells there regularly, and he insists on listing claims on all his descriptions like "finest available", "world's greatest", "none finer", "no expense spared", etc.... I hate that!
Also, no pics of the engine compartment?
This should be interesting!!! B-J starts on TUESDAY!!!!!!
Anyone else notice the 289 badge placement on the fenders?
Any fantasy bidding for this lot #?
I'll start. $37,000
Looks like it has a pretty good run spot on Friday, maybe late afternoon-early evening. I say it will bring at least $50k. Too bad there isn't an engine bay pic.
My first thought was $52k......
Mark
I'll take $55k
I'll chime in......don't think it will go that high. Looks good, but could just be a nice cover.
The fender badge is WAY off. This is a very bad omen of other things being wrong or incorrect. Anyone with 2cents of Mustang or K knowledge will give this car a pass if too many things are wrong.
$40k tops is my bid.
Really tuff without seeing engine.Desirable color, decent time slot. B.J.s attracts alot of nuts with cash and that would make a great present for some rich guys girl.Chicks always dig Mustang ragtops no matter what show I am at. Assuming all is what it should be under the hood I am going with $61,000 .

Misplaced fender badging, exhaust trumpet excessive protrusion, Night WATCH Blue????
"Most...correct K code"?? My B.S. detector is blaring.... and we haven't even seen pics of the important stuff.
What if everything was 110% correct and the economy was not a factor?? $100K may be??

There are a lot of factors that would play into a K convertible reaching that price. I believe the highest that one went for at a barrett jackson type auction was hi 70's. That's not to say the right car with the right provenance couldn't go higher.
See attached.
He claimes to have sold a vert last summer for $100k
He had it LISTED for that amount - doesn't claim he sold it for that amount.
If you pull up the link and scroll down to the Raven Black K Convert. at the bottom of the decription it says SOLD $100k
I would not trust ANYTHING FraserDante says.
MY humble opinion, but the guy sells mostly GM products. He don't speak fluent FoMoCo.
I have only heard bad things about dealing with him or cars he sells from many local club members.

I think we descussed the Black K GT Convertible with the RED pony interior that was LISTED for $100K earlier this year, and came to the conclusion that it was a pretty decent car and that Randy Stone pretty much built it a few years back-I have no idea what it sold for, and I also wonder where F/D is getting all the K codes??
