Unique K Code Parts

  • How about a fresh look at a comprehensive list of the unique K code parts and part numbers? (There are some items missing in the 4th edition HiPo book.) Here is a partial list started by jcw66k in another thread and I have added to it. Please do not include the GT and/or dual exhaust parts that would have been used with other models. Stick to K code only parts.

Deleted HCC AX steering box from list as it was a GT package item.

  • Dave, The Hipo steering box is the same number as a GT without power steering as they are both HCC-AX.

    -Fred-

65 Koupe early San Jose Phoenician Yellow 4 speed
66 GT Koupe Dearborn Blue 4 speed
66 KGT San Jose fastback pony interior Silver Frost 4 speed
    64 Falcon sedan delivery 289 4 speed
    65 Ranchero 289 4 speed
    66 Corvette roadster 427/425 4 speed

  • I agree with you on that Charles. I was just trying to address it as being part of the GT package as that is more widely recognized.

  • The most obvious (the first thing you look for on a Mustang), most desired (which implies the performance), simplest (it's a small die cast item) and least understood by novices (all the performance parts that support the car's mystique), the "High Performance" plate behind the "289" on the fender, C4ZB-16C236 or C5ZZ-16228-B.
