Did "Mustang Does It" have those numbers in the back of it? It had some production figures (never figured out where Ray got those or if they were good numbers)

    Just a possibility

Jeff, I have the "Mustang Does It" book and yes it does have production figures in the back of it. The figures are broken down by year, model and body style code only. It also includes Shelbys. These are the same figures that I have seen for many years. There is no breakdown by engine, trans or color as Jim is looking for. I have never seen anything on these other items.

I used to give away the "Mustang Does It" book when I was a parts manager and a customer bought over $1,000 in Mustang parts at one time. That did not really amount to a whole lot of parts even in the 80's.

Mustang Does It was written in 1978 by author Ray Miller...There are production figures in the book which are sourced from Ford Motor Company and the Shelby American Automobile Club. They are broken down by body style only, and are probably as accurate as we can hope for at this time considering the source.
