• I noticed that it doesn't feature FDs usual rambling about how fantastic the car and all its parts are, and only 1 full-on pic of the car instead of the dozzens they usually have with each car.

To me those cut-up pics don't look that good-(not real clear)

  • I think the lists of show wins are the "rambling". Surprising not to see their hand written "Inspection Notes" this time! Those are always so much fun to look at and so informative!<img src=images/icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Looks like a nice car, but the pictures could be better.

It has the longer version of the fan spacer - my April'65 K has the shorter one - but my September '65 A code '66 Coupe had the longer one - maybe Ford switch near the end of the '65 run.

Interesting to see he is trying to post a picture of the rear axle bumper plate - even though he messed up the shot in this ad. I think this is a response to a previous "K" car he had - discussed here in detail about 18 months ago - that didn't have the correct plate (probably a re-body). He got rather nasty with some of us regarding the "originality" of the car, our website postings, and use of his ad photos regarding the car.

Several nice "K" cars have been "Offered" for sale in the 6 figure range, but not sure if any of them ever sold.

"This is just not a unrealistic price" -- should read -- This is an unrealistic price in the current market and economy - regardless of condition or perigree.

Might be a great car, but not at this price IMHO. I wouldn't recommend this dealer based upon his previous attitude towards our board.

  • Thanks to my Editor - Yes, shame on me for a double negative!<img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

  • In the front fender close up picture the paint seems to be in a bad condition, maybe it the camera but I would love to see this car sell for 100K<img src=images/icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle>

  • RECOMMENDED TEMPLATE: Sold for <b>final sale price</b> by seller

    BuyItNow set at <b>bin price</b>(also post BIN if there is one for comparison) <BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>description here<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana" size=2 id=quote>

This car is fairly well known here on the east coast. It has been a few years since I have seen it in competition, but it did not achieve those awards by being a dog. I too would like to see it sell for 100K, as a rising tide floats all boats. It may be a tough sell in this economy, but the seller only needs one posterior for the drivers seat. Consider what it would cost to buy a starter K code convertible today, add in restoration costs, then add in markup by the current seller and you may be closer to the asking price than you first realize.

complete cars that are restorable, along with perfect paperwork, will look like a bargain as the supply dries up. And rarity becomes a bigger plus than some of us might realize. <img src=images/icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> Oh yes, I am talking about my convert, listed elsewhere on the exchange.<img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
