  • Yikes... Virtually the same price as the red one currently on ebay and not nearly as detailed.

Nice color combo, vin stamp looks like it was done twice, worth a look under the fenders to check the other ones.

I wonder where he got the "one of approximately 270 built in 1965" from. If you ignore 64.5's, there are already 164 convertibles in the registry and only about 14% of 1965 production is accounted for at the moment. Not all are GT's, far from it, but I'll bet that number is wrong.

Still a nice looking car if you are driving on the wrong side of the road <img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

  • It has the later 66 style motor mounts. Makes you wonder what other items have been compromised. At this price there should be no issues. A better painting job could have been done on the inner apron by the VIN at least. It looks like it was just painted over a couple of times with minimal or no attempt at sanding to blend the previous paint. It would seem to me that with the fuel filter on the fuel pump in 65 that there would be no reason to cut the fuel line to the carb and add another filter. It just adds to the lower quality of some of the details on this Kar.

  • Jeeze - For 108k at least they could ahve put the steering wheel on the correct side of the car!! (Just kidding!)Does look strange on an old Mustang though. I too would expect a no issues 100 point show car for this kind of money.

  • Thats to much money for a modified car. This car could be around for quite some time. We all know that a conversion to RH drive is a major modification. Because this is such a rare vehicle, should it return to the States or be purchased by a collector in OZ, it faces a conversion back to LH drive. It will be interesting to watch the price.

  • Interesting price. Given that a left hand drive 66 K GT fastback has sold here in oz recently for $80K AUD, is $120K AUD a reasonable price? Definitely not for a right hand drive version and definitely not for a car with a minimum description such as that was given. SHould be interesting to watch though. It's not going to get $120K AUD on ebay, but it does have "Make an Offer" as well.

  • Take it easy on the right hand drive stuff guys!!

Up until fairly recently it was compulsory in most states of Oz to convert left hand drive cars if you wanted to be able to register & drive them.

My Kar was imported in 1989 & so it had to be converted.
