The pictures in the auction at least show more important items than the last auction.

    I agree...The car is very rough, but it appears to be an authentic HiPo car that has the correct pieces. It sorely needs a complete and proper ground-up restoration to bring it back to glory. Will it be worth it after paying over $20,000 just to get started?

  • The seller had lowered the reserve but apparently not enough. I guess that the prior local offers for $25,000 must have evaporated.

    Probably for good reason...

  • It looks like he should have taken the $20,100.02 that was bid the first time around if the bidder was serious.

  • THe cursory exam shows threads of rust, in my opinion. After my experience with my Kar, there's GOTTA be rust.How bad? Probably, probably some serious rust, hasn't anyone looked at it??

  • I checked back on the first ebay listing;

    First auction ended Dec 30, $23,100.02

    Second auction ended Jan 28, $20,300.00

    Losting battle, does anyone know the cost of listing a car auction on Ebay? Even if it does not sell? I think to relist an item on ebay is free, not sure if the same for cars.

  • Ebay charges a $40 insertion fees for passenger vehicles. They charge a $50 transaction service fee if the vehicle sells. They will not charge the transaction fee if there were no bids or the bids did not meet reserve. They will charge a relisting (insertion) fee if the vehicle did not sell the first time but will refund it if the vehicle sells the second time around. It appears to me that if the vehicle continues to not sell that you will be paying listing fees until it does.
