All of the early ones that I have seen (including ones as late as May 17th, 1965) are the "two line" configuration. I assume they moved to the type that Dave posted sometime after that.

It looks hand stamped, which may have been what was done on limited production items ("K" cars), before a formal machine stamp was implimented.
