What is the difference between the two Z bars? Does the Hi Po allow for exhaust clearance?

The Hipo Z bar is different on the lower arm to clear the exhaust that runs below it. The standard exhaust runs above the bar which does not create a clearance problem. If you look at the pictures in Tonys book, the difference is obvious. The lower arm makes an immediate bend to clear the pipe. The lower pin for the clutch linkage push rod is also on the opposite side of the arm from a standard bar.

The pivot mount on the block is also different:

If your car used that style of boot/seal, sure.
The C6OZ boot is listed for 67 to 70 Mustangs and is incorrect for your 65 or 66 Mustang. The C6OZ boot is shorter in length and larger in diameter where it goes through the firewall. The C6OZ boot will not fit the hole. Other than that it is a great replacement. <img src=images/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> If you need an NOS C5ZZ one, I do have one available.
