I just picked up a standard bore 4K29 Mustang block. I couldn't change the rear main cap to a C30E # from a C20E # no matter how long I stared at it.
The conecting rods have a C3AE-D #.
I read a wanted ad in the K Specific Parts section for Hi Po rods with part C3AE-D#.
Is this a Hi Po rod or a standard rod. All of the block parts appear to be original, including the FoMoCo pistons...

I've somewhat torndown my San Jose 1/65 build fastback. While cleaning the left frame rail I noted what looked to be poppy red under the black paint (where the z bar pivot bracket mounts) My car was poppy red and I was wondering if this is just old red oxide or if that part of the rail was painted body color then black.
I also wanted to know if the interior floorboard was painted body color and what color to paint the rear fender wells...
Thanks

Thanks Dave, It looks like I was looking at the plate and not the bottom of the pad.

I removed my Jan 65 Gas Pedal(no trim ring provision) which I believed was an original. I've been cleaning it and have not seen a part number...Is it a repro or did some not have a part number?

What is the difference between the two Z bars? Does the Hi Po allow for exhaust clearance?

Are there reproductions for the rubber gasket around the opening in the metal mid section that the chrome sliders mount on?

Are you looking for a complete hipo engine or a block to rebuild. I just passed on a standard bore,I believe 7C date 289 block.
