Are there suspension parts, front and rear, specific to the K-code, or are they generic to all Mustangs of similar vintage?
What company makes the best and most authentic reproductions of suspension parts?

K codes automatically came equipped with the special handling package, which included higher rate front/rear springs and shocks, quicker ratio steering and a larger sway bar. The option was available on all other V8 Mustangs, so it is not necessarily specific to only a K code. Also, when the GT was introduced, the handling package was included with the GT option.
Eaton spring probably makes the best reproduction of rear leaf springs and coil springs. They claim to have the original blue prints. The only issue with the rear leaf springs is that they will not have the engineering number on the lower leaf. If you have your originals, you can swap out the lower leaves or even have Eaton do it for you.
Otherwise, upper/lower control arms and strut rods are the same for all. Steering linkage is different between V8 and I6 cars with additional differences between power steering and non-P/S.
Charles, what Mustang supplier carries the Eaton springs?
I think NPD does, but you can order directly from Eaton at http://www.eatonsprings.com
I emailed Eaton and they said that they could supply the springs but cannot stamp in the Ford part number on the bottom leaf. They suggested that the bottom leaf from the original be used if a part number is desired.
Mine were shot and got thrown away. Does anyone have a picture of where this part number was? I'd prefer to stamp it on a new metal leaf than use an old flexed-out piece of leaf spring (yes, spring steel does have a useful flex life, after which it is basically ready for the kiln and recycling).
Here ya go. For orientation, the paint daubs are at the rear of the bottom leaf.

What size is that stamping?
Are they worth anything? I have my originals, front and back, that I removed back around 1978-80. They are just tacking up space in the garage. I like the springs I put on back in the day and will never be restoring mine to stock anyway. Keep for "some day" or sell today?
The lower leaves would be valuable as individual items.
66kcar,
What's the markings on yours? Both please as they very
often have different date codes.

I'll check, they are down at Dad's garage, mine is full if you know what I mean...It may be a while but I will post.
Well it took a month, that's fast for me, but here are the springs...
These springs are for a 66 HiPo Coupe,
correct? May or June car probably.

You got it, I don't know how you guys have this down pat? I took them off back in the day when I used to race SCCA Pro Solo II, aka orange pylon killer. HaHa
